This year, Live Nation Canada deepened its commitment to community impact and sustainability through a new partnership with La Tablée des Chefs and Freedom City, working together to donate unused food from Rogers Stadium to organizations supporting people experiencing food insecurity. La Tables des Chefs is a non‑profit dedicated to reducing food waste and improving access to nutritious meals by redistributing surplus food to community groups. Freedom City is a Toronto‑based organization focused on outreach, empowerment, and direct support for vulnerable populations, including those facing homelessness and hunger.
Through this collaboration, surplus food from Rogers Stadium events was safely collected and delivered to several local organizations, including Margaret’s Drop‑In, St. Luke’s United Church, Seeds of Hope, Aunty Amal Community Center, and the Carion Fenn Foundation. Food was also delivered to the St. James Town neighborhood in Toronto, the core community served by Freedom City. Each group plays a vital role in providing meals, resources, and community support to individuals and families who need it most.
The initiative also reflects Live Nation’s broader sustainability commitments. Through Green Nation, the company’s global sustainability platform, Live Nation is working to reduce waste, lower its environmental footprint, and support more circular, community‑focused practices across its venues. Donating unused food is one meaningful way to ensure that resources are used responsibly while directly benefiting neighbours around Rogers Stadium.
Live Nation Canada is proud to be part of this effort and is already looking ahead to next year, with plans to expand the program and deepen its impact as Rogers Stadium continues to grow its relationship with the surrounding community.
